The mission of the Linux in Education Conference (LiEC)is to introduce Linux to an audience of educators, students, administrators, IT managers and other interested parties who may have no previous knowledge of Linux nor even any technical understanding of computing. The conference runs for one full day, Saturday, April 5 at the Grand Prairie High School 9th Grade Center, Grand Prairie, Texas. It is filled with demonstrations, presentations, and discussions that will open your eyes to new possibilities. We will hand out free CDs of Linux to all attendees. Food concessions will be available during the conference for snacks or lunch. Please come and join us for an exciting day of learning and fun.
There is no charge for registration, but you may give a donation if you like. Students are admitted free. Small children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and the parent or guardian is responsible for their children during the conference. No child care facilities are available. Conference capacity is limited to 300 attendees so please register early.
